Hello everyone and welcome to yet another day in Vera.
  • 00:25
Happy to be with you guys again.
  • 00:27
I can't believe that it is the end of July, but we have a fun presentation to show you
  • 00:32
guys today.
  • 00:33
An update on the cleric kit and also a little bit of a showcase for the Highwomen Hills
  • 00:40
area which is a very cool point of interest.
  • 00:42
I am joined by two of our glorious designers whom you have spoken with before in the past.
  • 00:49
They are our resident Dr. Bucky.
  • 00:51
Bucky, how you doing buddy?
  • 00:52
Good, I'm doing great.
  • 00:54
Welcome sir.
  • 00:55
And we also have our glorious combat designer Mr. Trad.
  • 00:59
How you doing Trad?
  • 01:00
Doing great.
  • 01:01
Happy to be here again.
  • 01:02
Yeah, happy to have you guys both.
  • 01:04
So obviously clerics are near and dear to a lot of people's hearts.
  • 01:07
We had a little bit of a showcase for the cleric.
  • 01:10
Gosh, when was that?
  • 01:12
That was like, that was last year, yeah?
  • 01:15
Yeah I think so.
  • 01:16
A few livestreams ago, yeah.
  • 01:17
Yeah, it was quite a few.
  • 01:18
And we were in, I think we were in that cemetery area and we were kind of showcasing some things.
  • 01:24
And the community gave us a lot of great feedback and your guys' team on the combat strike team
  • 01:29
have now had an opportunity to kind of go through, analyze and collect that feedback,
  • 01:34
incorporate it as part of our development process.
  • 01:37
And we have a little bit more extensive of a kit today to show.
  • 01:40
I think we have roughly 18 abilities or, how many abilities are we showing off today?
  • 01:44
Yeah, somewhere between 16 and 18 on there.
  • 01:47
Yeah, it's very exciting.
  • 01:51
Big increase gives a much more comprehensive look at the core kit for the archetype which
  • 01:56
is super exciting.
  • 01:58
So before we begin, why don't we perhaps talk a little bit about the area that we are in.
  • 02:05
And by the way, yes this is a noble warhorn.
  • 02:09
He is a big fella.
  • 02:11
He's excited to get in there.
  • 02:13
He's heard that there are some minotaurs that have taken up residence in what used to be
  • 02:18
I think a bandit camp.
  • 02:21
Look at how, aw we don't have sounds associated with him yet.
  • 02:24
Sorry guys, sound effects.
  • 02:25
I'll be done.
  • 02:26
Okay, perfect, thank you.
  • 02:27
Hold on, we've got to time that.
  • 02:28
We've got to time that right.
  • 02:29
Hold on, three, two, thank you Bucky, that was perfect.
  • 02:36
And that is why you are Dr. Bucky.
  • 02:38
No, but tell us a little bit about this place, the Highwayman Hills.
  • 02:43
Yeah, so we're venturing into the Highwayman Hills, a place notorious for bandit activity,
  • 02:49
always dangerous to run a caravan through here, even just looking at these walls here,
  • 02:53
you could see we could get jumped at any moment.
  • 02:56
But yeah, so it used to be resided by bandits, but now there's a story arc that's been triggered.
  • 03:03
So the Shattercloud tribe of Minotaur, I've recently seized control of the area, so we're
  • 03:07
going to be seeing a lot of Minotaur activity now instead.
  • 03:10
And that's part of the whole, how story arcs are intended to kind of change the environment,
  • 03:15
the world.
  • 03:16
You know, obviously we saw this a little bit with the Tower of Carthin presentation, but
  • 03:21
the spawners are adaptive based on the state of the world, and that state is inclusive
  • 03:27
of the story arc conditions, yeah?
  • 03:29
Yeah, exactly, and if we're able to complete our quest here, we might further change as
  • 03:34
well.
  • 03:36
This is absolutely beautiful, I can't believe Environment has done a tremendously glorious
  • 03:41
job in creating, I love the canopy through the approach into the Highwaymen Hill zone.
  • 03:48
It is super cool.
  • 03:49
Yeah, it looks great with the god rays coming in.
  • 03:51
Oh yeah, you can't have enough god rays, as Tristan knows.
  • 03:57
So do we have a quest for this area, or what are we seeing here?
  • 04:02
Ooh, location entered, okay, so we actually now are in the Highwaymen Hills.
  • 04:07
I should let my noble warhorn off here.
  • 04:12
Might get dangerous.
  • 04:14
You've been a trusty steed, my friend, but this area is just far too dangerous for your
  • 04:18
kind.
  • 04:19
So, just hang out here and we'll be back.
  • 04:22
Okay, so I think, you know, what's been relatively successful in the past, or the community has
  • 04:26
enjoyed is when we kind of spend a little bit of time up front going through each of
  • 04:30
these abilities, describing what they do, and then we can do some gameplay and kind
  • 04:34
of show off the kit in action.
  • 04:37
We might want to take a volunteer, because I know this is all healing-centric for the
  • 04:41
most part, which means we'll actually have to have a target.
  • 04:45
Bucky, would you like to be that target?
  • 04:47
Sure, yes.
  • 04:48
Got a dude right here in the shade, is this good?
  • 04:50
Oh my god, this is hopefully not a sign of things to come, but there's a corpse next
  • 04:53
to you.
  • 04:54
I think it might be.
  • 04:55
That guy didn't get any heals.
  • 04:56
What happened to this guy?
  • 04:57
Didn't get any heals, man.
  • 04:58
That's what happens.
  • 04:59
Oh my god, that's nice.
  • 05:00
That's what happens.
  • 05:07
Okay, so let's start off with this kit.
  • 05:11
What is our first ability that we have?
  • 05:15
Which one are you looking at?
  • 05:16
Mend here?
  • 05:17
Yeah, I'm looking at Mend.
  • 05:18
It says that it instantly launches a healing projectile toward target ally.
  • 05:24
Each charge of the ability consumed after the first has no mana cost.
  • 05:27
Okay, that's nice.
  • 05:28
And it restores an increasing amount of mana to the caster based on the number of missing
  • 05:33
charges.
  • 05:34
Consecutive uses of the ability will gain bonus healing.
  • 05:37
So talk to me a little bit about the intent here.
  • 05:38
This is kind of the efficient maintenance heal that you can fall back on if things aren't
  • 05:44
hitting the fan too hard.
  • 05:46
So if your target's not in immediate danger of dying, this is a lighter way to heal that
  • 05:53
is much more efficient on your mana resource.
  • 05:57
I'll just keep damaging myself so you can heal me.
  • 05:59
Yeah, it's pretty nice and comfortable to use.
  • 06:02
See the little floating projectiles.
  • 06:04
It's not great for like a super reactive situation because they have that travel time.
  • 06:11
But you still have the opportunity to use them.
  • 06:14
It's more like a predictive heal, right?
  • 06:16
Like when you don't need to immediately respond to a bad situation.
  • 06:21
And just to keep in mind guys, as of course, as always, this is very necessary for us to
  • 06:25
say this is still a work in progress.
  • 06:27
We are working towards our alpha 2.
  • 06:29
You're going to see the state of the UI is not in its final form.
  • 06:34
Same is true for the visual effects and everything else, right?
  • 06:38
Everything is always in the state of polish and kind of refinement or excuse me, when
  • 06:42
we get to that state.
  • 06:45
But that's what you're kind of seeing now.
  • 06:46
So this is a pretty useful ability.
  • 06:48
You're intended to kind of like weave this in between your normal rotation, yeah?
  • 06:52
Yeah, so like one of the reasons this came to be for the kit is in the last version of
  • 06:58
the kit, we felt like, you know, you were kind of swapping between cooldowns because
  • 07:03
you just used whatever was up, but you didn't really have a comfortable like fall back.
  • 07:07
And so this one serves as more of a filler activity that's a little more freely usable
  • 07:11
and more spammable.
  • 07:13
A lot of healers we played in past games, you know, they have that heal, like that core
  • 07:17
heal that you can just kind of use back to back and that one is like filling that role
  • 07:22
to a degree.
  • 07:23
Yeah, super cool.
  • 07:24
Sorry, but oh, yeah, between this one and then the next one deliverance, they're both
  • 07:28
kind of like your core filler heals that you're constantly like your bread and butter is really
  • 07:32
awesome.
  • 07:33
So deliverance, let's talk a little bit about that.
  • 07:36
This is it says a held ability, which means that it's a variable charge value.
  • 07:41
Yeah, yeah.
  • 07:43
I really like this one.
  • 07:44
I'm sure it's there's something out there, but I've never actually played a healer that
  • 07:49
had a like a casted heal that you could release at various points of time.
  • 07:53
And it just to me, it seems like it fits heal really well because of its reactive nature.
  • 07:58
So you can like release it.
  • 07:59
You can kind of like hold it in.
  • 08:01
You know, if your targets, you're almost like playing kind of Russian roulette with your
  • 08:05
target, like you're pushing it to the last second to get the most value.
  • 08:07
Yeah, it's a really nice like tool to have to be able to like cook the heal.
  • 08:11
Basically, if you think the target's going to take some more damage, you get more value
  • 08:13
out of it.
  • 08:14
The other cool thing about this one is that it scales based on the missing health of the
  • 08:18
target.
  • 08:19
So if you cast it on me now, I'm at full health.
  • 08:20
It'll heal for a lot less than when I'm when I'm pretty low.
  • 08:24
That's super cool.
  • 08:26
Whoops.
  • 08:27
OK, let's try you.
  • 08:28
It's super low.
  • 08:31
So holding it full length, you go from about seven eighty to about fourteen hundred.
  • 08:39
And that would have been even more if his health were even lower.
  • 08:42
So like he said, if you were at like, I'll get super low here.
  • 08:45
Yeah.
  • 08:46
So you'll you'll see an even bigger.
  • 08:47
So it scales on two axes.
  • 08:49
Basically, it's scaling on both missing nine.
  • 08:51
Yeah.
  • 08:52
Scaling on both missing health and the amount of time.
  • 08:55
Oh, wow.
  • 08:56
That's cool.
  • 08:58
Yeah.
  • 08:59
Yeah.
  • 09:00
I like the Russian roulette aspect of it.
  • 09:02
I can just imagine the amount of friction that's going to cause in parties when the cleric player
  • 09:08
wants to maximize the efficacy of the heel versus the player recipient.
  • 09:13
That's like, whoa, man.
  • 09:14
A drama between tanks and healers is what MMOs are all about.
  • 09:18
Absolutely.
  • 09:19
That's like standard staple interaction.
  • 09:21
OK, cool.
  • 09:23
So that's that's a super cool ability.
  • 09:25
Talk to me a little bit about soothing glow.
  • 09:28
This is a bread and butter region spell.
  • 09:30
You know, it's got you have three charges of it.
  • 09:34
You can either stack them all on one target and they don't stack in healing, but they
  • 09:38
will stack in duration.
  • 09:39
So if you just want like a really long duration heal on your tank or region on your tank,
  • 09:43
then you can do that.
  • 09:44
Or you can spread it out for more effective healing per second by having them all tick
  • 09:48
simultaneously on three different targets.
  • 09:50
So there's a couple of different ways to use this.
  • 09:53
Super cool.
  • 09:54
I love obviously hots are something you try to keep up often.
  • 09:59
So this also has charges.
  • 10:00
Yep.
  • 10:01
Three charges.
  • 10:04
Nice, very cool.
  • 10:05
All right.
  • 10:06
I see we have a flash cure.
  • 10:07
Talk to me about the flash cure.
  • 10:09
Another charge based thing.
  • 10:10
This is actually the last one.
  • 10:11
So it's not like all the abilities.
  • 10:13
Everything is charges, charges, stacks on stacks.
  • 10:16
They just happen to be very front loaded here.
  • 10:17
But this is your last charge based ability.
  • 10:21
This is an instant heal.
  • 10:23
The neat gimmick about this one is you can use it during other abilities.
  • 10:27
It's kind of like our version of what you would refer to as OGCD or an off global cooldown.
  • 10:34
We only actually have a global cooldown in the game right now, but it serves as that
  • 10:39
kind of thing where, for example, one way I like to use this is if you're charging deliverance,
  • 10:44
you could even push it a little further by hitting that flash cure as you're charging
  • 10:50
up deliverance.
  • 10:51
Now, presumably, though, you wouldn't want to flash cure while you're using deliverance
  • 10:58
unless you're afraid that they're going to die.
  • 11:01
Exactly.
  • 11:02
Or you could also just let go of deliverance and just go off right there and there.
  • 11:05
So you kind of have choices there.
  • 11:06
And whether you want to try to get maximum deliverance value by throwing a flash cure
  • 11:10
or just making sure your target doesn't die.
  • 11:13
Cool.
  • 11:14
That's super cool.
  • 11:15
I like that kind of oh shit button, so to speak, right?
  • 11:19
Where essentially, you know, for me as a person who's main healer often, it's always a very
  • 11:27
tense situation when you're waiting for that massive group heal cast time to go off or,
  • 11:32
you know, whatever massive burst heal that you're trying to do.
  • 11:35
And you know, you're puckering up because who knows if they're going to live during
  • 11:39
that cast time.
  • 11:40
But if you need to, you can always pop a little bit of flash cure.
  • 11:43
Yeah, it's fun to use.
  • 11:44
It's minute.
  • 11:45
Yeah.
  • 11:46
You were going to say Trent?
  • 11:47
I was just saying it's fun to use.
  • 11:50
It's like a nice little emergency tool because, you know, a lot of the time you're as a healer,
  • 11:54
you're like waiting for that you'll go off.
  • 11:56
You're like, come on, come on, come on.
  • 11:57
And sometimes you miss it.
  • 11:58
It feels a little bad.
  • 11:59
And this is a way to this is an answer to that.
  • 12:02
Yeah.
  • 12:03
Super cool.
  • 12:04
Okay, next one we have here.
  • 12:05
The resplendent beam.
  • 12:06
Talk to me about that one.
  • 12:08
We've seen that and we've seen an iteration of that in the past.
  • 12:10
Yeah, this is a returning one, but it's it's seen a little bit of change before it was
  • 12:15
just you popped it and they would do a chain heal.
  • 12:19
Now you can use it like use it on Bucky.
  • 12:21
Just hit it like tap the button just to tap tap tap tap tap a room.
  • 12:25
All right.
  • 12:26
Exactly.
  • 12:27
There you go.
  • 12:28
And so you can use it as a quick single target heal that way.
  • 12:30
But you can also charge it.
  • 12:32
So this is another held ability.
  • 12:33
And the longer you charge it, the more targets it will bounce between.
  • 12:37
So you'll if you do it again and hold it, you'll see that I should probably set my cooldowns
  • 12:42
to zero for this portion of the journey.
  • 12:45
Yeah, that'd be good.
  • 12:46
Yeah, it kind of has the you can use it just instant cast to get a quick heal off on someone
  • 12:51
or you can decide to charge it up basically and have it bounced a bunch of people.
  • 12:54
If you charge it all the way, it should bounce between all of us.
  • 12:56
We'll try and let me try the quick cast again real quick.
  • 13:00
All right.
  • 13:01
So that's the quick cast and then I'll charge it up.
  • 13:04
Nice.
  • 13:05
Oh, super cool.
  • 13:07
Okay.
  • 13:08
I like I'm just like with the animation.
  • 13:13
It's just like everyone stand back.
  • 13:16
Yeah, animators do some pretty cool work.
  • 13:19
That's cool.
  • 13:20
Very nice.
  • 13:21
Okay.
  • 13:22
I like that.
  • 13:23
I like the dual purpose nature of that.
  • 13:24
And obviously, this is a great point of feedback for those of you in the audience who are kind
  • 13:26
of watching and taking a look at this class kit.
  • 13:29
You know, do you like the versatility on a bespoke basis per ability where you kind of
  • 13:34
have alternate types of functionality that's up to the user to determine based on the situation?
  • 13:40
Or do you like more static use cases, right?
  • 13:44
Something that is very specific and you have to kind of use it for that situation.
  • 13:50
That's a great question to get feedback on.
  • 13:51
Personally, myself, I think that providing the user a bit more flexibility and versatility
  • 13:55
in the use of these abilities makes for interesting gameplay, a lot of agency for the player to
  • 14:01
kind of move between.
  • 14:02
Okay, let's move to the next one.
  • 14:04
Bless weapon.
  • 14:05
Talk to me about this one.
  • 14:06
This is one of my favorites.
  • 14:07
This is like basically a utility, a mana utility that you can use on either yourself or an
  • 14:14
ally.
  • 14:15
So it's kind of like a decision point of do I want to, you know, sacrifice some of my
  • 14:19
own mana resource management in exchange for helping out an ally.
  • 14:24
One way I like to use this is I'll just kind of look at my own mana or someone else's and
  • 14:28
it's like, oh, the tank's like really low.
  • 14:29
I'll throw this on them for now and then I'll put it on myself later.
  • 14:33
The eventual idea, it's not set up this way currently, but the idea is you can like freely
  • 14:37
kind of switch it around between yourself and different party members.
  • 14:41
Right now it's just on a cool down.
  • 14:43
Okay, so I'm going to use this on myself and what effect are we going to see right now?
  • 14:48
So it'll bless your weapon as it is appropriately named.
  • 14:52
And while that is, oh, you gave it to me.
  • 14:55
Yes, shoot.
  • 14:56
So that means if Bucky were to attack an enemy, he would return mana per hit.
  • 15:02
Okay, so we'll show that off when we get into the minutes.
  • 15:04
But it's only weapon combos.
  • 15:05
Yeah, okay, got it.
  • 15:07
Cool, cool, cool, cool.
  • 15:09
All right.
  • 15:10
I see also we have here, let's go to judgment.
  • 15:12
We have judgment.
  • 15:13
We saw a version of this in the past.
  • 15:14
Yeah.
  • 15:15
So judgments, we since changed judgments.
  • 15:17
Now it's a lot longer of a cast.
  • 15:21
But effectively it's similar where you can either cast it on an enemy to do a huge portion
  • 15:25
of damage or you can cast on an ally to do a huge heal.
  • 15:27
So it's kind of a big charged nuke.
  • 15:29
Yeah.
  • 15:30
Nice.
  • 15:31
You want to do some damage to yourself here?
  • 15:33
Let me show that off.
  • 15:35
Let's see.
  • 15:36
It has received the juicing.
  • 15:39
I'm sorry, apologies.
  • 15:41
The juice, the juice box, the juice box.
  • 15:43
Thank you.
  • 15:44
Oh, whoops, that's wrong one.
  • 15:46
Oh yeah.
  • 15:48
Okay.
  • 15:49
Super cool.
  • 15:50
So not as big as deliverance when they're fully charged deliverance to low health, but
  • 15:54
it's still pretty big and it even if they're high, it'll heal for the same amount.
  • 15:58
So it's kind of nice.
  • 15:59
Okay, cool.
  • 16:01
What's this one?
  • 16:02
What's communal restoration?
  • 16:03
Another one.
  • 16:06
That's a returning, another familiar, turning the failure cleric spell is a, this one's
  • 16:12
been changed a little bit too, but it's mostly the same.
  • 16:14
It's still a party based heal.
  • 16:17
It's really your only party based heal that doesn't have any proximity unless like they're
  • 16:21
really far, but it extends pretty far to all party members.
  • 16:23
It does a direct heal, but it also has a hot component.
  • 16:27
So it's like, or again, not super responsive, but it's very good value.
  • 16:33
And like an eight person group.
  • 16:35
Yeah.
  • 16:36
It's also giving some temporary hit points.
  • 16:37
You can see, I think in the UI, a little bit of temp HP.
  • 16:40
Oh, let's see where that is.
  • 16:42
Where's that at?
  • 16:43
It should be a little a blue bar overlay on the health bars.
  • 16:46
See that little, it's a little portion of temp health there.
  • 16:49
Oh yeah.
  • 16:50
I see that.
  • 16:51
Okay, cool.
  • 16:52
So this can overcast.
  • 16:53
Yeah.
  • 16:54
Once the effect expires to the temp health will go away.
  • 16:55
So if it wasn't, you know, you weren't damaged in the time, then it's not effective healing.
  • 17:01
It feels like perhaps the, the instant health received from this might be a little low.
  • 17:08
Is that the intent or?
  • 17:09
It is a little low.
  • 17:11
And I mean, this, obviously all of these things are kind of in early iterations, nothing super
  • 17:16
balanced.
  • 17:17
Things are kind of balanced, but like for this one, it's like, okay, the value is one,
  • 17:22
you don't have to worry about positioning of your team.
  • 17:24
It just hits everybody.
  • 17:25
And if in an eight person group, that kind of adds up a lot.
  • 17:29
Plus the hot effect and all the other stuff going on.
  • 17:32
Cool.
  • 17:33
Super cool.
  • 17:34
All right.
  • 17:35
What's this next one?
  • 17:36
We have consecrating wave.
  • 17:37
This one's pretty sweet.
  • 17:38
So this one's a frontal cone heal.
  • 17:40
So you don't have, you don't need a target for this one.
  • 17:42
You can just cast it and it'll shoot it forward based on the clear looking and it'll heal
  • 17:45
everyone that hits all allies.
  • 17:47
And then it'll also damage enemies that hits too.
  • 17:48
So it has a dual purpose as well.
  • 17:52
It's a we damage it.
  • 17:53
Wow.
  • 17:54
That's cool.
  • 17:55
It looks great.
  • 17:56
In contrast to communal restoration, this one's a bit more powerful.
  • 18:01
Also does damage.
  • 18:03
So that's kind of the trade offs is you have to, you know, it costs you in your positioning,
  • 18:07
but then it's an exchange for a bit more power.
  • 18:10
Something we talked about doing, I don't think I've done yet was making it a split between
  • 18:14
all the targets hit.
  • 18:15
So if you hit a lot of targets, it'll do less.
  • 18:18
And like if you hit half enemies, half allies, it'll split the total throughput, but we haven't,
  • 18:23
I don't think we've done that part yet.
  • 18:25
Very cool.
  • 18:26
Very cool.
  • 18:27
All right.
  • 18:28
Talk to me a little bit about divine flare.
  • 18:29
Yeah.
  • 18:30
This one is another, um, kind of what I referred to as like action heals, the Consecrating
  • 18:37
Wave and divine flare.
  • 18:38
They're, they're heals that you have to aim in world.
  • 18:41
Um, so this is this one, if you put it on the ground, it's like a delayed AOE.
  • 18:46
Um, if you want to try that on Bucky or something.
  • 18:50
And after Bucky, you look like you need some health.
  • 18:52
I'm dying.
  • 18:53
All right, here, let me help you.
  • 18:55
Oh, you gotta get in it.
  • 18:58
Oh, that's so good.
  • 19:02
What's interesting about that one is, um, it's all, it would also split amongst targets.
  • 19:06
So I got a bigger heal there cause Bucky didn't make it in time.
  • 19:09
Um, it is kind of a funny little like mind game going there of, Oh, I'm going to jump
  • 19:13
in there, but it's at the expense of his health cause I'm stealing it.
  • 19:17
Tanks only please in this AOE.
  • 19:18
Get these trash mates out.
  • 19:20
Yeah, the more social conflict dynamics going on, name it again.
  • 19:26
I like the, uh, excuse me.
  • 19:31
Um, had to cough for a second.
  • 19:33
I like the delayed functionality in that ability.
  • 19:37
I think that's super cool, especially for an AOE skill.
  • 19:40
And telegraphing the location obviously with the ground based decal for the party is definitely
  • 19:45
a very proactive one.
  • 19:46
Yeah, exactly.
  • 19:47
Yeah, it's super cool.
  • 19:48
Um, all right, awesome.
  • 19:51
Uh, let's talk a little bit about barrier.
  • 19:55
So barrier is the classic kind of shield spell you'd expect to see from a healer kit.
  • 19:59
So, but the, with the added twists that, um, you have to sacrifice a bit of your own health
  • 20:03
as the healer to cast it.
  • 20:04
So it doesn't actually use man.
  • 20:06
I don't think it just, you sacrifice portion of your health to directly give to another
  • 20:09
player for time.
  • 20:10
Okay.
  • 20:11
I like that.
  • 20:12
That's cool.
  • 20:13
Yeah, that looks pretty good.
  • 20:14
And it's a clear delineation obviously in the, in the, uh, style of the shield bubble
  • 20:22
so that you can distinguish between, you know, other bubble types, right?
  • 20:29
Like the mages bubble.
  • 20:30
Yeah, we could be doing a comparison.
  • 20:33
Yeah.
  • 20:34
Oh, there you go.
  • 20:35
Yeah.
  • 20:36
Oh, your bubble brothers.
  • 20:37
Do you guys bounce off of each other?
  • 20:40
Yeah, we just bubble physics in.
  • 20:44
Yeah.
  • 20:45
Here have some help.
  • 20:47
Okay.
  • 20:48
Um, let's talk a little bit about the chains of restraint.
  • 20:52
Yeah.
  • 20:53
This one's pretty similar to what it was before.
  • 20:55
Um, it does damage over time.
  • 20:58
So it's a really good, it's, it's pretty much the primary AOE damage tool of the cleric,
  • 21:02
which isn't really the primary role of the cleric.
  • 21:05
Um, but you know, they get some, and it also applies stagger.
  • 21:10
So it kind of provides some offensive support.
  • 21:12
Um, saggers, for example, synergizes very well with some tank abilities, which, um,
  • 21:17
what it effectively does is, um, extends the duration of a trip, which is, which is a knockdown.
  • 21:22
Um, so if you've like stacked up a bunch of stagger on an enemy and then trip them, they
  • 21:27
spend more time hard to succeed than if they hadn't been staggered at all.
  • 21:31
Very cool.
  • 21:32
And obviously as we said, guys, um, just so you're aware when it comes to the development
  • 21:37
of the abilities, um, you know, there is a specific pipeline that includes ideation into,
  • 21:43
uh, the bare bones kind of standing up with the functionality with design.
  • 21:48
And then it moves to, uh, animation to provide final animation sets.
  • 21:52
And then it moves to, uh, visual effects and then it moves to audio effects.
  • 21:57
Um, and visual effects and audio effects that tend to be at the end of that pipeline, um,
  • 22:00
are usually the things that get, uh, that still need works that are still heavily works
  • 22:06
in progress.
  • 22:07
Um, you're seeing the visual effects now, but obviously that will change in the future.
  • 22:11
Okay.
  • 22:12
Let's talk a little bit about defiant light.
  • 22:14
Yeah.
  • 22:15
So this one's a, uh, really good tool for saving someone who's in danger of dying.
  • 22:19
It's very powerful.
  • 22:20
I'm in danger.
  • 22:21
Yeah.
  • 22:22
Which one?
  • 22:23
Okay.
  • 22:24
So, uh, it applies, first of all, it applies a huge, uh, heal over time to the target,
  • 22:26
but if they die while the seal over time is in effect, um, it'll prevent their death
  • 22:31
and heal them for a flat amount and dispel it itself.
  • 22:34
So it's kind of like a, Oh, Oh wow.
  • 22:38
I don't think it works with nuke.
  • 22:39
Oh no.
  • 22:40
That's fine.
  • 22:41
Just planted.
  • 22:42
Um, you said that it would keep you alive.
  • 22:47
We'll see if it actually works in action.
  • 22:53
We'll use it in action.
  • 22:54
Yeah.
  • 22:55
Yeah.
  • 22:56
Okay.
  • 22:57
I'm sorry.
  • 22:58
I just wanted to, I, you said it'll keep you alive.
  • 22:59
So the first thing that came to mind is let me kill you.
  • 23:06
If that happened and that was real damage, um, it would, he would have prevented the
  • 23:11
death.
  • 23:12
The effect would be removed and then he would receive a heal up to like 25% of his HP.
  • 23:16
Awesome.
  • 23:17
I don't trust this clerk.
  • 23:18
Okay.
  • 23:19
Cool.
  • 23:20
Okay.
  • 23:21
So that's a defiant light, not as defined as we thought it would be, but hopefully it
  • 23:26
will be, uh, when we get into combat.
  • 23:29
Okay.
  • 23:30
Healing touch.
  • 23:31
Talk to me a little bit about this.
  • 23:32
Uh, that's a, that's a melee heal.
  • 23:34
Basically you have to be up next to your target, but it is an insta cast and it's a pretty
  • 23:38
fat heal.
  • 23:39
So it, again, it's kind of like consecrating wave.
  • 23:43
It's being costed more on its positioning by rewards.
  • 23:46
Uh, you know, maybe if some of our more melee built clerics would really want to lean into
  • 23:51
this, um, because they, they have that positioning advantage for it.
  • 23:55
Oh, there you go.
  • 23:57
Okay.
  • 23:58
What I take it, I give us.
  • 24:01
There you are.
  • 24:02
Have health.
  • 24:03
This one comes really nicely too with the, uh, the next ability, the, um, wings of salvation
  • 24:08
because it'll let you get into melee and then you can follow it up with a, uh, healing touch
  • 24:12
on a Thurlow.
  • 24:13
Yeah.
  • 24:14
This is essentially an ally gap closer.
  • 24:16
Um, so this is, you must have an ally targeted and, and definition of an ally is going to
  • 24:22
be any non combatant player, uh, and non mob NPC.
  • 24:28
Correct.
  • 24:29
Okay.
  • 24:30
Ooh, that's kind of cool.
  • 24:32
Oh, it's missing.
  • 24:33
I think it's missing audio effects.
  • 24:34
Let's see.
  • 24:35
Oh no, there it goes.
  • 24:36
Yeah.
  • 24:37
Okay.
  • 24:38
We got to give it the full Phoenix sound on signature Phoenix ability.
  • 24:45
Oh, the audio might be a little bit bugged, but that's okay.
  • 24:49
As we said, all things are worked in progress.
  • 24:52
Nice.
  • 24:53
There it is.
  • 24:54
The one to healing touch follow up.
  • 24:56
Yeah.
  • 24:57
Okay.
  • 24:58
So I'm going to T into shift T got it.
  • 24:59
Yeah.
  • 25:00
That's pretty cool.
  • 25:01
There you go.
  • 25:02
Combo.
  • 25:03
What if I T while flashing and then shift T hold on.
  • 25:07
Oh, I haven't even tried that.
  • 25:09
Oh my God.
  • 25:10
Wait, hold on.
  • 25:11
Oh, that worked.
  • 25:12
It all happened so fast.
  • 25:13
I can't even super healing.
  • 25:14
I'm going to go with the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
  • 25:17
the, the, the, the super healing sort of work.
  • 25:19
I use like two hands, okay, cool.
  • 25:22
So we got, we got wings of salvation and then I'm looking here.
  • 25:28
We have smite, condemn and divine infusion talked to, we can't show smite or condemn.
  • 25:34
We'll use those on enemies here in a second, but let's talk about divine infusion.
  • 25:37
And this one is a bigger topic.
  • 25:40
Yeah.
  • 25:41
So, um, we'll talk about the class resource and then how this plays into it.
  • 25:47
You'll notice if you look at the top left, there are now three resource bars for the cleric.
  • 25:52
And that third one you might have seen going up and down as he's been healing.
  • 25:58
But this resource regenerates based on how much healing and damage you've been doing over the last
  • 26:04
10 seconds. So the more radiant damage and the more you're healing, and it's only effective
  • 26:08
healing so you can't overheal for this, but the more you're doing it the faster this resource
  • 26:13
will build up. And the way you spend this resource is on an ability called Divine Infusion.
  • 26:19
And what this is, is if you have enough resource to complete the cast of a spell,
  • 26:26
you can use this during the cast of a spell and it will auto-complete that spell.
  • 26:30
I've never actually seen a mechanic like this in a game before. It was a pretty cool idea that came
  • 26:34
up across the design time. Yeah, very cool. Okay, so essentially I am gonna build up some of the unique
  • 26:44
energy. I'm gonna do that by healing Bucky and then I am going to use a long cast ability and
  • 26:50
I'm going to attempt to use Divine Infusion to complete that cast sooner than normally would be
  • 26:56
possible. And just to be clear, if I were not to let's say use that ability, then I would have a
  • 27:02
passive benefit for my character while that energy is maintained that amplifies some spell efficacy
  • 27:11
as a healer. Yep. Cool. Okay, so let me try to get some of this stuff. Whoops. Oh, I got one off of
  • 27:25
that. Okay, so it's gradually earning it over time. Yeah, like when you heal it kind of gives you some
  • 27:31
generation of this resource then it kind of rewards you the actual resource over time so
  • 27:36
you can see it kind of filling in your bar. Yeah, we've been referring to this as like a
  • 27:40
heat mechanic, right? So it's not like a direct instant translation of you heal this much and you
  • 27:46
get this resource immediately. It's like ramping up your region and build up rate. Okay.
  • 27:53
All right, now I'm going to use Judgment and then I'm going to pop my Divine Infusion.
  • 28:05
That's me. I don't think it would work.
  • 28:10
Oh, look at that and it consumed some of that. Okay, very cool. Yeah, I was able to do two.
  • 28:17
I like that. Another oh shit button. Very cool. Yeah, Cleric. This version of the Cleric has a
  • 28:26
lot of tools in its kit. Just to set expectations, you know, that not any given Cleric build would
  • 28:32
probably have all of these things. You would spec into certain ones. Most likely we're still
  • 28:38
working that out. Awesome. Okay, so let's take a look then at some of those more offensive abilities.
  • 28:45
Let us perhaps find a potential target here. Got a group of Minotaurs right up here.
  • 28:52
Smite and Condemn. You think we can peel just one of them off? Uh, we could try. I can grapple one.
  • 28:57
Actually, let me heal you. Yeah, Tread could sleep the other two actually too.
  • 29:03
Oh, let me set my cooldowns so that I'm not cheating too much. Back to standard.
  • 29:09
Want to sleep the back two Tread? I'll grapple the front one. Sure.
  • 29:17
All right, and then I'm going to use... What is Smite first before we do that? What is Smite?
  • 29:24
Smite's just a... well, you can use it in two different ways as is a running theme with a
  • 29:30
lot of our abilities, but you can use it from a range and it'll have a cast time and just do
  • 29:34
damage to the target. And if you use it in melee, it's an instant cast. So again, one of those things
  • 29:41
that you get a little more benefit for if you're up front. Okay, so it's going to apply a stack
  • 29:47
of burning and deal instant damage to the target. Okay, and then just real quick, Condemn is a
  • 29:54
straight up just stun? Correct. Yep, casted stun. All right, very cool. Okay, so in that case, let
  • 30:03
me start by casting Judgment on it perhaps. Okay. While you prepare to sleep those two Rain Collars.
  • 30:11
Okay. Okay, ready? Casting Judgment.
  • 30:20
All right, okay, now you're good, Tank, if you want to grab it. Good luck. All right.
  • 30:27
Oh, Smite, that's kind of cool.
  • 30:37
Oh, that's very cool.
  • 30:44
How you doing over there? Oh, GM Dread's taking some health.
  • 30:47
Very cool. Okay, got the hang of this.
  • 31:00
Well, I noticed that on this wand, I'm getting some health back a little bit.
  • 31:07
This has some minimal lifesteal or something? Yeah, I think it's the one from Karthen.
  • 31:12
Karthen wand, yeah. Nice, very cool. Little passive life leech. Very cool. All right, so I noticed that
  • 31:20
we have a quest in this area. Or what is this? This is not a quest, this is a story arc. Yep. Yeah,
  • 31:27
so we're going to try and go through this area and we're looking for, I think the first part of the
  • 31:31
quest is a bag. You're on the quest, right, Steven? Looking for a back tax? I am on the quest. So
  • 31:36
looking for a back tax. I am on the quest. So looking for a back tax. I'm on the quest.
  • 31:40
I am on the quest. So let me just, here, why don't we just stand here real quick.
  • 31:45
Up near the bridge. I just want to get a look at this. That looks great. Yeah, that does look really
  • 31:52
cool. It's an old abandoned ruin. Yeah, this is just a beautiful area. I mean, it's, you know, I love
  • 32:01
what the environment team has done. The ruins, the god rays, everything. Great job here. So what
  • 32:09
are we doing next? What is this quest? Obviously some bandits have been expelled from the area.
  • 32:16
There's some minotaurs and whatnot. What are we doing here? Yeah, so we're kind of coordinating
  • 32:20
with one of the bandit leaders. So I think we're gonna have to find his bag to go meet up with
  • 32:25
everything that's going on. We gotta fight through some minotaurs first. Okay, all right, cool. I got
  • 32:30
your back. You just, you do your thing, chicken wing. I got you. I got a war graze too. All right.
  • 32:44
I brought some friends because, uh, oh no, you're good, you're good, you're good, you're good.
  • 32:51
I got you. The bear's looking at me. Oh, he's charging.
  • 32:54
Oh, he mauled you. He knocked, did he knock you down? Yeah, I got knocked over a little bit.
  • 33:00
I can knock him down too. Get him.
  • 33:07
Nice, very nice ball lightning. Okay, trad doing some deeps.
  • 33:15
Here, I can help you out with the deeps. Those brain collars are just on you.
  • 33:18
Wow, it knows who the real threat in the party is. Yeah, he's like, I'm the only healer.
  • 33:28
This Chris has so much health. Oh, I'm going. Oh, nice. Flash cure. I got you.
  • 33:35
Flash cure. Flash cure. Look at that maximum efficacy on the, uh, deliverance.
  • 33:41
On the deliverance. Oh my God, there's a bear. Oh no. Sleeping it.
  • 33:52
Nice. Don't hit that bear.
  • 33:58
We're good. This bear has so much health.
  • 34:04
Okay, mana consumption's not too bad so far with the kid. Of course, as you guys all know, oh God,
  • 34:10
it's standing. It's sensing you. It can smell the chocolate in your pockets like, what's that?
  • 34:20
The mana consumption's not too bad. Now, obviously, I know we haven't gone through really
  • 34:23
a balance pass between mana consumption and cooldowns and health return. So, if you, as you
  • 34:29
guys are watching, just keep that in mind. You know, this is work in progress. We're really trying to
  • 34:33
stand up the core functionality of the kit, um, and, and getting its play style to represent the
  • 34:39
role, right? Especially within Synergy of the Holy Trinity. Hey, that wasn't too bad. Yeah,
  • 34:50
you handled that, uh, the grouping pretty well. Thank you. Thank you.
  • 34:54
It's some good coordination there. We almost got him. All right, there we go.
  • 34:59
Oh yeah, there's two more in here.
  • 35:02
Just bringing them over to you. You know, I don't want my tank to have to run so much,
  • 35:06
right? Thank you. Yes, I appreciate it. Yeah, no worries. Or should I be like one of those other
  • 35:11
tanks? Like, you touch the mobs, you tank it. How dare you? Don't you ever be in my party?
  • 35:23
You know, those types of, uh, those types of tanks, and I know they're out there,
  • 35:26
but if you are forcing someone else in the party to heal, it's because you're not keeping a face.
  • 35:40
True. Facts. Very true. This is a nice little area. Okay. We're just taking a seat here.
  • 35:45
Yeah, you know, just resting up, getting my mana back. Taking in the views. Very nice.
  • 35:50
The views of the- So, okay.
  • 35:51
The views of this shed? I was looking behind me. I'm looking behind me. I don't just look at a shed
  • 35:58
and say views, but- Oh, sorry. You guys are out of control.
  • 35:59
Okay. So talk to me a little bit about UI versus action healing, right? Obviously,
  • 36:07
I have mained healers in the past. One of the things I enjoy between the predictive nature
  • 36:12
of healing and the reactive nature of it is that, you know, it's very two different tempos,
  • 36:16
and I like both of them, right? If I have to, you know, kind of- Wait, hold on before I get into
  • 36:22
this. What is this? Is this a backpack? Is that a splints bag?
  • 36:25
I don't touch bags that I don't own. Does one of you guys want to-
  • 36:29
Okay. Should I do it?
  • 36:30
Will it update? It'll update the story arc for everyone in the area, right?
  • 36:34
I think so. If somebody can find it. Okay, go ahead.
  • 36:36
Yeah. Got it. Let's see.
  • 36:38
Splints bags must be nearby. Does it update for me? I don't know.
  • 36:45
You can try clicking it. Okay. I will say- Oh, it did. It just updated
  • 36:49
for me. Okay, got you.
  • 36:50
Cool. All right. There we go. And as you guys know, obviously, UI is very work in progress.
  • 36:55
We're still working on this. Okay. So predictive versus kind of reactive healing.
  • 37:00
I like both, right? I love the- Excuse me. I like the ability for me to kind of have control over
  • 37:08
the engagement and, you know, predict where I'm going to need to- This is a beautiful view.
  • 37:12
Where I'm going to need to heal, but I also like the kind of whack-a-mole gameplay where I'm,
  • 37:18
you know, interfacing with my- Oh, and let me see if I can move this actually.
  • 37:22
As a healer, I tend to have my bar a little bit closer. Do I move anything else? Hold on.
  • 37:35
I feel like when I start a new fight, I tend to be a lot more like reactive because I'm not used to
  • 37:39
the damage patterns as much as a healer. But then as you kind of get more familiar and you kind of
  • 37:44
know what to expect, you can start being a lot more predictive, which can certainly improve your
  • 37:49
performance. And it's good to have tools for both in any kit. Oh yeah, for sure. Totally agree.
  • 37:55
I see Splint across the way. Oh, is he up there up on that tower?
  • 37:59
Yeah. See his rope he climbed up with maybe. Am I supposed to be killing- Are we killing him?
  • 38:04
Or are we talking to him? I think we're- Oh, we're getting a chest key. Yeah, we're going to
  • 38:08
coordinate with him. He wants to get these minotaurs out of the bandit camp. So we have to
  • 38:12
work with the enemy a little bit here. Okay, so we're going down on those like drive over beds?
  • 38:18
Yeah, I don't want to go through the front entrance. There's like a ton of minotaurs there,
  • 38:20
so I think we should try and fight through this way maybe. We got a wolf. All right. Oh, okay.
  • 38:26
Little wolf. Little baby wolf. Oh my gosh, he dodged my attack. What about you, Tread? What
  • 38:30
do you like about predictive or reactive? I mean, I definitely like- The more tools you give me,
  • 38:35
the better, right? I think we'll have different specs that mean one way or the other for all kinds
  • 38:42
of different clerics. Obviously, as everyone knows, our class system will- You'll be able to
  • 38:50
pick your class based on primary and sub archetype. And different classes will lean into
  • 38:57
different directions. Some will be more predictive. And when we say predictive, we're usually talking
  • 39:02
like hots and stuff are going to be a lot more predictive healers. Or like pre-shielding.
  • 39:10
Yeah, pre-shielding and that kind of thing. Whereas reactive is going to be a lot more
  • 39:14
instant heals that might be less efficient, but more adaptable to certain situations.
  • 39:23
Heal me up, Steven. I got you. You got me. You're going to have full deliverance value there.
  • 39:29
I think there's a bug on my targeting. I think the target switches off of you for some reason.
  • 39:35
Oh, okay. My bad. I see you're throwing in some condemns there, weren't you? You were
  • 39:41
stunning the- Yeah, I was doing a little bit of, you know. I was trying to help out.
  • 39:45
That's good. I like when healers can help with the DPS and the healings.
  • 39:49
We want to grab these guys. I was not going to go this way, but okay.
  • 39:53
Oh, okay. We can do it. Just sleep the black one.
  • 39:57
We got it. We got it. Yeah. Back up. Sleep him. Sleep him.
  • 40:00
Nice sleep. Nice sleep. Oh, sleep. Huge sleep.
  • 40:07
I was going to sneak around, but we can just blast to the front door. Why not?
  • 40:12
We need to show off our ability. Yes. Maybe sleep again? Nope. Nope.
  • 40:17
Sleep has a decent cooldown. Yeah, 10 seconds.
  • 40:20
You're doing some good kiting. I am totally kiting these guys.
  • 40:24
I got three of them, I think. All right. Sleep.
  • 40:29
Yeah, healers will be generating threat, right? I see they're noticing your healing,
  • 40:33
so they're going after you. It's taking me a bit of effort to get them off you.
  • 40:38
I believe in you.
  • 40:39
Let's see if I can stun that guy.
  • 40:54
Drinking my last health potion. All right, I got you.
  • 40:59
Two seconds for an XCC. Oh, nice. Yeah, you can see two of those.
  • 41:03
I got two of them. Yep. Perfect. Perfect.
  • 41:06
I gave you blessed weapons, so you can get some mana back.
  • 41:10
Oh, nice. Yeah, I was running low.
  • 41:16
All right. Look at that. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
  • 41:21
Winner winner chicken dinner. Any other types of sayings you want to add to that?
  • 41:26
Not even close, baby. Yes, thank you.
  • 41:31
Great job. Great job. Yeah, well done.
  • 41:33
I didn't even get to do my wings of salvation jump too and boom.
  • 41:39
Oh, very good. Look at that. Such a good combo.
  • 41:44
Yeah, we can just go. We were going to sneak around. Actually, let's do sneak around.
  • 41:47
I want to sneak around. I like that. No, no, no, no. Stop, stop, stop.
  • 41:51
Wait, wait, there's more. There's more wolves.
  • 41:55
One at a time. One step at a time here. Don't do anything after.
  • 41:57
I get all crazy here.
  • 41:58
No, we're good. We're good. Let me just sleep this wolf over here. Or not sleep, but.
  • 42:05
Just put him down.
  • 42:07
Oops, that was an accident. That's an F. I think I just used up.
  • 42:11
Got another wolf spawn too.
  • 42:18
Okay, there we go. Not too bad. All right, come down this way.
  • 42:23
Okay, let's go this way. Side entrance.
  • 42:26
We didn't have to do any of that.
  • 42:27
Aww. But then how else would we not, how else would we farm?
  • 42:33
Yeah, come on, bro.
  • 42:35
We got some loot, maybe.
  • 42:37
This is cool. Okay, so like a little back entrance. All right.
  • 42:39
Yeah, let's get through on the main gate.
  • 42:42
I think we can sneak around these guys too.
  • 42:44
Yeah, we should be careful in this area though because we might get aggro.
  • 42:48
Yeah.
  • 42:49
Yeah, you know, this, I feel like we can probably pull a little bit extra and see just how much we
  • 42:56
can tax this healer. What do you guys think?
  • 42:58
All right. I'll pull these three up here and maybe that fourth one.
  • 43:02
All right.
  • 43:03
Let's do it.
  • 43:03
A little bit of potential heals.
  • 43:05
Oh God, there's a wolf on me.
  • 43:08
Okay, we'll find you.
  • 43:08
Oh, morph through the gate.
  • 43:10
Oh, this is gonna be good.
  • 43:11
I'm gonna stun, I'm gonna stun the wolf.
  • 43:14
Nice, drop the wolf first.
  • 43:15
I'm taking some heals.
  • 43:20
Aww, wreck that wolf.
  • 43:22
All right, I've got.
  • 43:23
What are we doing next?
  • 43:24
I'm gonna get these, I'll get aggro on these guys.
  • 43:26
Yeah, yeah, yeah, try to AOE if you can.
  • 43:29
AOE it all down, big AOE.
  • 43:31
I'm gonna do a trip.
  • 43:34
I'm doing a delayed heal.
  • 43:40
Yes, maximum AOE power.
  • 43:42
Blizzard time.
  • 43:43
Oh, you're doing the wave attack too, yeah.
  • 43:48
Yes.
  • 43:48
That one's so good.
  • 43:50
Oh, we got it.
  • 43:51
Delayed heal.
  • 43:52
Nice.
  • 43:52
Getting all the value out of it.
  • 43:53
Try to get out some judgment.
  • 43:59
Okay.
  • 44:03
We're gonna sleep though.
  • 44:05
Nice, we got it.
  • 44:06
Easy.
  • 44:07
That was super easy.
  • 44:11
Either that or I'm just a literal god of a healer.
  • 44:14
Okay, probably isn't.
  • 44:16
Oh, you're using the full kit.
  • 44:18
Thank you.
  • 44:19
Here, I'm gonna do a little bit of a heal.
  • 44:21
Here, have a barrier.
  • 44:23
That compliment.
  • 44:28
Okay, all right.
  • 44:30
All right, so I think we just gotta go up through here.
  • 44:33
Yeah, great job.
  • 44:35
One more.
  • 44:35
We need to have a discussion with world design for this population.
  • 44:38
I mean, it's just not challenging enough.
  • 44:40
Yeah, yeah.
  • 44:40
Double it.
  • 44:41
A few hundred minotaurs in here.
  • 44:43
Double it.
  • 44:44
Respawn rate, 10 seconds.
  • 44:45
Here, I'll do another group here.
  • 44:48
Oh yeah, let's do that.
  • 44:49
Here, I'll just grab these guys.
  • 44:50
Don't don't.
  • 44:51
If I can grab that guy.
  • 44:52
Sorry, sorry.
  • 44:57
I just trust.
  • 44:58
I trust now.
  • 45:01
Yeah, just trust.
  • 45:02
You're good.
  • 45:03
I have full faith in my healer.
  • 45:06
I bought some additional mobs.
  • 45:08
Okay.
  • 45:09
Oh god.
  • 45:10
Oh my god.
  • 45:12
We're getting a little cocky here.
  • 45:14
I know, we're good.
  • 45:15
He flew too close to the sun.
  • 45:17
Two seconds on sleep.
  • 45:18
Okay.
  • 45:19
We are coming out now.
  • 45:21
All right.
  • 45:22
All right.
  • 45:23
I think.
  • 45:27
All right, there we go.
  • 45:27
Okay.
  • 45:29
Okay, helping myself.
  • 45:30
Oh yeah, they're on you trying to get them off you.
  • 45:35
Oh my god.
  • 45:37
I'm dying.
  • 45:39
Where are you?
  • 45:40
I'm running a little bit.
  • 45:41
I think I think they're off you.
  • 45:44
Okay.
  • 45:44
I'm now healing you again.
  • 45:46
We need some huge heels.
  • 45:48
Oh, I'm using my tank cooldown.
  • 45:50
I'm using the divine infusion.
  • 45:52
Oh yes.
  • 45:58
Still on.
  • 46:01
I'm healing myself.
  • 46:02
My mana is definitely going down.
  • 46:05
We got this.
  • 46:05
We're almost gonna kill some.
  • 46:06
Come on.
  • 46:08
Let me put down these chains.
  • 46:11
Healing myself again.
  • 46:16
Stay on the raincoat.
  • 46:17
Or that left ring collar, I guess.
  • 46:18
Okay, I'll stay on a rain collar.
  • 46:21
I'm gonna stun this other rain collar.
  • 46:24
We got it.
  • 46:24
We got it now.
  • 46:25
I am completely oom.
  • 46:30
All right, we made it.
  • 46:31
We did it.
  • 46:32
We did it.
  • 46:33
I'm running.
  • 46:34
I'm running.
  • 46:35
I'll do the killing blow on this guy.
  • 46:36
I'm running.
  • 46:38
Wait, what are you running for?
  • 46:39
Okay.
  • 46:39
I was at 60 health and they were still...
  • 46:42
Okay, we got it.
  • 46:43
We got it.
  • 46:43
You're good.
  • 46:43
You're good.
  • 46:43
You're good.
  • 46:44
You're good.
  • 46:44
You're good.
  • 46:47
Here, have this hot.
  • 46:49
That was epic.
  • 46:51
That was pretty epic.
  • 46:52
Got some good pulls here.
  • 46:53
That was pretty fun.
  • 46:54
That was actually pretty fun.
  • 46:55
I enjoyed that as a healer.
  • 46:56
That was an oh shit moment and there were many oh shit buttons for me to press.
  • 47:00
We were talking about this mana not being balanced,
  • 47:02
but I think that was pretty good.
  • 47:03
Like you ran out of mana just right at the end of that fight.
  • 47:05
Like, it's pretty good.
  • 47:06
Good first pass.
  • 47:07
That's true.
  • 47:07
They're not too bad.
  • 47:08
Now we're gonna talk to Splinter.
  • 47:11
Pro gamers.
  • 47:12
Gosh, dude.
  • 47:13
See, and everybody says I am a crazy player.
  • 47:18
There's just not, you know...
  • 47:19
Oh, okay.
  • 47:20
Climb on top of this.
  • 47:23
This guy's kind of cool.
  • 47:24
What is he doing?
  • 47:26
Hello, friend.
  • 47:26
Splint.
  • 47:27
Splint, talk to me.
  • 47:29
Nobody mentioned locking horns with minotaurs.
  • 47:33
Oh, okay.
  • 47:34
We need to unlock a chest.
  • 47:36
He's not budging.
  • 47:38
Here, take the key.
  • 47:39
All right.
  • 47:39
I've gotten the key.
  • 47:41
Okay, nice.
  • 47:42
I think the chest is in the main building somewhere.
  • 47:43
All right, so, yeah, let's go down here.
  • 47:45
Do you want to...
  • 47:47
Should we...
  • 47:48
Should we even rest a little bit?
  • 47:49
You're still pretty low on mana.
  • 47:52
I would be down to rest.
  • 47:54
Well, we should probably go this way.
  • 47:56
All right, actually, yeah, I guess I think we'll probably run through here for a little bit.
  • 47:58
Let's get inside the building.
  • 47:59
Where are we going?
  • 47:59
Inside the building here.
  • 48:01
Follow me.
  • 48:03
Oh, that's right.
  • 48:03
We don't really even need to...
  • 48:04
Let's see if we can just...
  • 48:06
Since we cleared this whole area, I wonder if we can...
  • 48:09
Yeah, I don't think there's anyone in here.
  • 48:12
I think we gotta go down this little area.
  • 48:15
Go down here.
  • 48:15
It's getting dark in here.
  • 48:16
In the crypt.
  • 48:17
Secret basement.
  • 48:18
All right.
  • 48:20
Let me give us some light.
  • 48:22
Hold on.
  • 48:22
I gotta give us some light.
  • 48:25
Very nice.
  • 48:25
Oh, yeah, Trant's got some good...
  • 48:29
Follow the light.
  • 48:31
Follow the light.
  • 48:33
Here it is.
  • 48:33
Ooh.
  • 48:37
So we're working together with Splint, the bandit leader.
  • 48:42
Wait, hold on.
  • 48:42
I wonder what happens if I put this shield on you while you have your shield on.
  • 48:48
Double shield.
  • 48:48
Ooh.
  • 48:48
I got 15 seconds left.
  • 48:50
Double shield.
  • 48:51
Double shield.
  • 48:53
That's what you got.
  • 48:53
Hey, that was cool.
  • 48:54
It let loose this massive explosion.
  • 48:58
What did that do?
  • 49:00
I think we're working together with Splint to
  • 49:02
activate this ancient chest to...
  • 49:04
To find the ninja turtles?
  • 49:05
I think we're awakening some old spirits in this place to try to drive out the minotaurs.
  • 49:10
I think that's the plan here.
  • 49:12
This is beautiful.
  • 49:13
There's a stairway over here.
  • 49:14
Wait, yeah.
  • 49:15
What's the next part of the quest?
  • 49:15
We have to light the signal fire?
  • 49:17
Light the brazier?
  • 49:19
I'm running up into this area.
  • 49:23
Wait, you lost you.
  • 49:23
Uh-oh.
  • 49:23
Where'd you go?
  • 49:24
Where?
  • 49:25
Steve?
  • 49:26
Oh, there you are.
  • 49:26
Look to your left.
  • 49:27
There.
  • 49:27
Where?
  • 49:28
Over here.
  • 49:29
Oh.
  • 49:29
Hey.
  • 49:30
How do I get over here?
  • 49:31
Hey, how do I get over there?
  • 49:32
Oh, actually, yeah, there you go.
  • 49:33
Okay.
  • 49:34
All right.
  • 49:34
There we go.
  • 49:35
I'm going to go upstairs even more over here.
  • 49:37
Oh, nice.
  • 49:38
This is beautiful.
  • 49:39
Environment did a great job with this.
  • 49:41
Zachary and Tristan and...
  • 49:46
Yeah, it looks really great.
  • 49:47
It's cool to explore.
  • 49:48
Brandon did a great job.
  • 49:51
Beautiful.
  • 49:52
Oh, look at this.
  • 49:53
Oh, there it is.
  • 49:53
Nice.
  • 49:55
Well, this was a cool little incursion into...
  • 50:00
Oh, look at this.
  • 50:01
Oh, the zombies.
  • 50:03
We have lit the beacon and the zombies have overtaken the minotaurs.
  • 50:07
They're still minotaur corpses.
  • 50:09
God, dude, we missed the bloodshed.
  • 50:11
I think we did all the work.
  • 50:13
Yeah, true, to be honest.
  • 50:14
These zombies shouldn't get any credit.
  • 50:16
That's super cool.
  • 50:17
Very cool.
  • 50:18
Well, guys, I hope you all enjoyed this brief look at the update.
  • 50:22
Well, not brief, but look at the update of the cleric archetype
  • 50:26
and what you'll be expecting in Alpha 2.
  • 50:28
Obviously, your feedback is incredibly important to us.
  • 50:30
Please keep in mind, everything is a work in progress
  • 50:33
and we use your feedback as part of our iteration process.
  • 50:37
So if you can give us your thoughts and what you enjoyed,
  • 50:40
what you thought could be done better in the YouTube video
  • 50:45
or in Twitch or everywhere else, we will go through that
  • 50:49
and we will take a look.
  • 50:50
But we have enjoyed showing this.
  • 50:52
Bucky and Trad, thank you guys for joining me.
  • 50:54
Very cool, very fun.
  • 50:56
And you guys did a great job.
  • 50:58
Yeah, thanks for having us, GG.
  • 50:59
All right, we'll see you guys back on stream.
  • 51:02
I'm going in!
  • 51:03
No!
  • 51:04
Wait, let me jump to you.
  • 51:05
Let me jump to you.
  • 51:07
Come here.
  • 51:07
Come here.
  • 51:08
Wait, here it is.
  • 51:09
Boom!
  • 51:10
Oh, yeah.
  • 51:11
Oh, that was great!
  • 51:13
Bye, guys!
  • 51:14
Out of control.
