Guild leaders
Leaders of guilds that occupy guild castles are referred to as Rois et Reines (also referred to as Lords).[2][3]
- A King or Queen may also be elected mayor of one node.[4]
- Lords of castles and Maires unlock special high-effect abilities with long cooldowns that can be used during sieges or events.[2][5]
- Mayors and lords of castles have spells they can use on the battlefield with high effect and long cooldowns for their teams.[2]
Guild leadership tools
The developers are considering a number of leadership tools for guilds:[6][7][8]
- Recruitment tools.[7][8]
- Management tools.[7][8]
- Delegation tools.[7][8]
- Motivational systems.[7][8]
- Communication tools.[7][8]
- Roster.[7][8]
- Standard guild ranks (such as Guild leader and officers).[10]
- Custom rank names.[10]
- A list of available permissions per rank/role.[10]
- Departments/micro-structures (such as battallions) within the guild structure with an associated leader.[11][10]
- Freehold permissions may be associated with these micro-structures.[11]
- The idea behind guild permissions for freeholds, is that within guilds there will be micro-structures of battallions etc. If we end up allowing guild permissions for freeholds it will likely only apply to the other members within the guild's micro-structure.[11] – Steven Sharif
- Audit logs may be available to guild leaders and officers.[12]
- Guild stats.[13]
- Information about guild membership, such as archetype and class makeup will be made available.[13]
- Access to guild stats is subject a permissions structure.[13]
- For me personally, being a guild leader of a very large guild in the past, these types of administrative functions are life savers for guild leaders... Guild leaders are a very important part of the community for MMORPGs in general and the reason for that is- think of it like a queen on the board- "I bring order to chaos". To a degree, guild leaders are that order to the chaos. They help organize- they do so through lieutenants- they delegate responsibilities. There are good leaders, there are bad leaders, but essentially it's a highly social environment and if you can find a good guild and that guild is augmented with complimentary services from the company, from the game itself, it just makes that life easier and allows them to execute better. So in my opinion that is an important aspect.[9] – Steven Sharif
- Guild management tools are expected to be available at the start of Alpha-2.[6]

Undermounts
The guild leader of a castle can grant the use of flying undermounts (such as wyrmlings) to guild officers during a castle siege.[17][18][19][20]
- These may only be granted if the castle nodes are successfully established prior to the siege.[20]
- Node A grants 1 undermount, Node B grants 2 undermounts, and Node C grants 2 undermounts.[21]
- This system is subject to change during testing.[21]
Little wyrmlings that you can grant to officers if you're a castle owner, and they can fly around too.[18] – Steven Sharif
Guild progression
Guild progression occurs through participation in different systems.[22]
Guild progression grants skill points that the guild can allocate to unlock aspects of their skill tree, such as passive skills, augments and membership count.[22][24][25]
- Passive abilities increase certain stats relating to a guild member's ability to perform in combat or in other aspects of the guild, such as the economy.[22]
- Augmentation may apply at the upper tiers of guild progression.[22]
- Guild members do not need to be citizens of the same node in order to benefit from passive skills and augments.[26]
- Guild size can be traded off for guild progression.[22][27]
- The higher the guild's member cap, the fewer available skill options will be available to that guild.[28]
- Guild alliances may be a key part in creating a larger "guild".[27]
- Salles de guilde can be unlocked at a certain stage of guild advancement.[24]
- Guilds cannot respec their skill points once allocated. This is subject to testing.[29]
- It's not always going to be combat. You could have an economic focus guild. You could have a trade oriented guild; and there's all sorts of things that you can put together and give your guild its own identity.[22] – Jeffrey Bard
Augmentations d'équipement

- La Progression dans divers systèmes JcJ débloquera des pierres d'enchantement qui accordent des avantages temporaires axés sur le PvP à l'équipement (via un système de sertissage).[33] Les performances sont mesurées sur des saisons PvP de six mois.[14] – Steven Sharif
Ce n'est pas comme si vous alliez nécessairement les acquérir une fois et ensuite vous êtes prêt pour vos enchantements PvP, mais au lieu de cela, vous devrez continuellement performer mois après mois afin de continuer à avoir ces enchantements.[33]
Guild membership
A character may only be a member of a single guild.[34]
- Alts on the same account can join different guilds.[34]
- Intrigue, espionage and intelligence gathering is a legitimate aspect of the game.[34]
- A guild may only have a single guild leader.[35]
- Transfer of guild leadership is possible, but mechanics on transferring leadership if a guild leader has abandoned the guild have not been finalized.[36]
- Guild masters can issue payouts to guild members.[37]
Guild invites
Characters may be invited to join a guild from anywhere on Verra.[38]
- Invites can be done through the guild UI.[38]
- There will also be a guild invite chat command.[38]
Server reservations
Server reservations allow guild members as well as unaffiliated players to reserve character slots on a server starting in the Beta testing stages of the game.[39]
This would likely be utilized more so by guilds than that would be solo or unaffiliated players; and I believe that the solo player they may have friends that they want to play with. That's fine, they can also still with those friends do the reservation system, but the player who is just joining the game fresh and doesn't have a community that they're part of, I don't think they really mind in that regard and will not utilize that system.[39] – Steven Sharif
Salles de guilde
Salles de guilde serve as a focal point for a guild, offering a host of benefits and customization options.[41]
- When a guild reaches a certain level, its guild master is granted a certificate to enable placement of a guild hall.[42]
- Guild halls may be placed within Baronies within the ZI of a node.[43]
- A barony can only have a single guild hall.[43]
- The number of baronies that can have an active guild hall is determined by the node's stage.[44][45]
- Only a limited subset of the guild halls available around the node are available concurrently... So you might only have two that might be available at fifth level and then three at sixth level of a node; and the guilds have an opportunity to select from the six available which three are going to be active.[44] – Steven Sharif
- Guildes mécènes may also place their guild hall within (the footprint of) their patron node. These guild halls have different perks and benefits to halls placed within Baronies.[46][42][47][46]
- Patron guild halls placed within Baronies may have the ability to confer benefits to surrounding estates within that node by speccing into passives in their guild skill tree and carrying out a lengthy quest line.[48]
- The design of guild-halls is currently subject to active iteration by the developers.[49]
- Guild halls can only be destroyed by a successful node siege. This contrasts with guild fortresses, which can be sieged in a guild war.[42][50][51]
- Guild halls are objectives in guild wars.[50]
- A guild hall only houses a single guild.[52]
Guild freeholds
Lorsqu'une guilde atteint un certain niveau, son maître de guilde reçoit un certificat de freehold de guilde permettant de placer un hall de guilde.[42]

Châteaux de guilde
Cinq châteaux de guilde existent dans Ashes of Creation.[54][55] Ces châteaux seront initialement occupés par un adversaire PNJ. Ce sont les principaux antagonistes dans l'histoire.[56]
- Les guildes ont une période de temps pour monter de niveau afin d'assiéger ces châteaux.

- These benefits increase the longer a guild holds its castle.[57]
There are levers and dials that are present to both the owners of Castles as well as the elected officials of Nodes that during their administration they have the ability to impact and influence the region around them.[59] – Steven Sharif
Guild castles exert a King or Queen's presence over nodes within their region.[57][59][60]
- Levy taxes for the purposes of defense (additional to taxes already imposed by node governments).[57][60]
- Activate events and abilities that benefit node citizens under their rule.[57][60]
- Establish special relationships with Maires to help build up the three dedicated castle nodes.[57]
- Unlock additional types of buildings in nodes.[60]
- Exert control and pressure over one of the five economic regions.[57]
Siège de Château
Les guildes peuvent participer à des sièges de châteaux dans le but de capturer et occuper l'un des cinq châteaux de guilde sur Ashes of Creation.[55] Voici quelques points à connaître sur les sièges de châteaux :

- Il y aura des systèmes qui imiteront certaines des mécaniques des sièges, mais il n'y aura pas de sièges d'entraînement.[70]
- Il peut y avoir des lieux instanciés au sein des sièges de châteaux et des sièges de nœuds en monde ouvert, où des groupes spécifiques peuvent participer à des batailles courtes basées sur des objectifs qui affecteront l'issue globale du siège.[71]
- J'adore les jeux basés sur des châteaux. J'aime les trophées. J'aime beaucoup récompenser le risque ; et pour moi, il est très difficile d'imaginer un MMO auquel je voudrais jouer où il n'y a pas cette compétition de prouesse stratégique qui détermine le résultat de ces types d'événements et où il n'y a pas de récompense significative, tant mécaniquement que du point de vue des droits de vantardise, que les joueurs peuvent viser et essayer d'atteindre. Je pense que cela apporte beaucoup au jeu en termes de motivations, d'excellence, de progression, de gagner en puissance, de s'engager dans ces différentes boucles de progression quand il y a un objectif ultime ou un trophée qui n'est pas statique et qui n'existe pas pour toujours une fois que vous l'avez atteint, mais que vous devez constamment performer pour le maintenir. Et c'est vraiment le but de ces châteaux.[76] – Steven Sharif
Une guilde qui capture un château l'obtient pour un mois avant qu'il ne soit assiégé à nouveau.[77][56]
- Chaque semaine menant à la semaine de siège... est une semaine dédiée à l'un des trois nœuds dédiés au château. Ainsi, autour du château, il y a trois nœuds. Ils représentent la semaine un, deux et trois ; et puis la quatrième semaine est le siège contre le château. Ceux-ci ne peuvent être élevés qu'au stade trois. Nous avons discuté de cela dans le passé et il y a définitivement des informations disponibles sur le wiki géré par la communauté.[77] – Steven Sharif
- Dans les trois premières semaines où une guilde occupe un château, elle devra faire évoluer chacun de ses nœuds de château au stade de Village en réalisant des quêtes.[77][56]

- Différentes armes de siège donneront aux attaquants l'opportunité de détruire les murs, portes et sections du castle pour atteindre l'intérieur de la forteresse.[79]
- Quand les châteaux changent de guilde, (suite à un siège), une partie des taxes perçues est conservée par le château lui-même, tandis que l'autre partie revient à la guilde qui en a pris le contrôle.[80]
- Il y aura des avantages à attirer des personnes... même si elles ne sont pas dans votre guilde ou alliance – un système de type féodal, où vous pouvez attirer d'autres joueurs qui sont juste indépendants de toute cette politique. Ils auront des choses à faire là-bas - des avantages à recevoir - et il y aura une relation réciproque entre ceux que vous pouvez attirer, ce qu'ils font pour vous ; et comment cela vous profite à vous et à eux.[56] – Steven Sharif
Alpha-1 castle sieges
Alpha-1 castle sieges are based on Ashes of Creation Apocalypse castle sieges.[84][75]
- Players will be able to join guilds. These guilds can register for the siege events.[82]
- Castle siege events will be 100v100 battles that occur daily and will last for three hours.[82]
- Attackers will start on the opposite end of the map (from the defenders).[82]
- Attackers will be able to use trebuchets to drive to and assault the castle.[82]
- When the attackers have breached the castle they will be able to channel a cast on the relic in the throne room to try to capture the castle from the defenders.[82]
- The victors of castle sieges will receive benefits, such as cloaks, flying mounts for guild leaders and potentially also for guild officers.[82]
- Alpha-1 castle sieges are in a separate zone that is accessible via a NPC teleporter.[73][74][72]
- Currently the siege zone is actually in the open world, but separated by mountains and off in the sea a bit. There is actually no instancing in A1, although the siege zone will only be accessible in A1 through a registration NPC teleporter.[73] – Steven Sharif
- This zone includes the following raid bosses.[84]
- These bosses will also appear in the open-world (outside the siege zone) with slightly different mechanics.[74]
- The opposing team is notified when these raid bosses are being attacked.[84]
- Teams who get the last hit on these bosses will receive buffs that will help them in the siege battle.[84]
Last year, I spoke of attempting to incorporate sieges into the Alpha One experience. This has obviously been a goal of mine because it provides considerable data and a consistent event within the world that players can participate in to help stress test the deployment. Well, I am happy to say that it is appearing more and more likely by the day! Initial implementation of the Apocalypse siege code has been migrated into the Alpha One client, and we should begin internal testing next month. I will caveat this expectation with the fact that we are cutting it a bit close from an internal QA standpoint, but I have some confidence that the system will be online and capable of inclusion for the Alpha One test in the month of June. The siege component will obviously not be representative of what the siege system will be at launch, or even in Alpha Two.[75] – Steven Sharif
- Destructible structures (such as walls and gates) are present in Alpha-1 castle sieges.[85]
- The ability to repair structures (and siege weapons) is a long term design goal that will not be present during Alpha-1.[85]
