Divine Power Cleric class resource indicator (yellow bar).[1]

There are now three resource bars for the Cleric and that third one you might have seen going up and down as Steven's been healing. This resource regenerates based on how much healing and damage you've been doing over the last 10 seconds. So the more Radiant Damage and the more you're healing- it's only effective healing so you can't overheal for this- but the more you're doing it, the faster this resource will build up and the way you spend this resource is on an ability called Divine Infusion. And what this is, is if you have enough resource to complete the cast of a spell you can use this during the cast of the spell and it will auto complete that spell.[1]John Collins

Divine Power is a Cleric class resource in Ashes of Creation.[1][2][3]

  • Generated by casting healing and radiant damage spells.[1]
  • Divine Power can be consumed to instantly complete the remaining cast time of any healing spell currently being cast.[5][1][2][3]
    • Whether this applies to healing spells, offensive spells (or some subset thereof) will be playtested in Alpha-2.[6]
One of the concerns about that particular energy mechanic that I expressed to the team is how we balance whether or not that gets applied to pretty much any ability, because it is a bit of a subversion in The balancing act. You want to have minimum thresholds that players must in order to confer an effect on a target and so there's some concern there, but that's something we're going to play test and balance out throughout Alpha 2.[6]Steven Sharif
  • Previously Mend returned mana on hit proportional to the amount of Divine Power the player had. This is no longer present in the tooltips.[7][2][3]
Skill Icon Description
Divine Infusion Divine Infusion.png Consume Divine Power to instantly complete the remaining cast time of any healing spell currently being cast. The amount of Divine Power consumed is proportional to the amount of cast time remaining upon activation.[1][5][2][3]
Mend Mend.png Instantly launch a healing projectile toward target ally. Each charge of this ability consumed after the first has no mana cost, and restores an increasing amount of mana to the caster based on the number of missing charges. Consecutive uses of the ability will gain bonus healing.[8][7]

Cleric
