Help:Editing pages

Please allow up to 30 minutes for wiki edits to take effect. If you wish to see your changes immediately, add a ? to the page URL. For example, https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Nodes? will bypass the cache and show the most recent version of the Nœuds page.

It's very easy to edit the contents of a wiki page:

• Click the "Edit" page tab at the top of the page.
• Make changes to the text.
• Click the "Save page" button.

Utilisation de modèles

Ashes of Creation Wiki uses templates to house small blocks of information. These templates are assembled in the content pages to form articles.

Example

To edit a template, edit the article page, then click on template you wish to edit, then click on the link to edit that template. Editing templates is the same as editing a regular article.

Rules, conventions and formatting

Before you create articles in Ashes of Creation Wiki, we ask you to please read our style guidelines. Using the correct formatting and layout will make the wiki easier to understand and to maintain for everyone.

• Please avoid using forward slashes in titles. For example: Use Day and night cycle rather than Day/night cycle.

Edit summary

Before you save a change, you can enter a short note in the "Summary" box describing your changes. Don't worry too much about this, or spend too much time thinking about it: just put in a short description of what you just changed. For example, you might say "fixed typo" or "added more information about sunflowers".

This summary gets stored alongside your edit, and allows people to track changes in the wiki more effectively.

Prévisualisation

It's a good idea to use the "Show preview" button to see what your changes will look like before you save them. This isn't something to worry about too much, but it's good to get into the habit of eliminating mistakes in your own work by using a preview before saving, rather than saving then having to do another edit just to make one or more minor corrections.

Discussion

Chaque articles a son propre onglet "Discussion" où vous pouvez poser des questions, faire des suggestions, ou discuter de corrections. Voir Help:Talk pages.

Quand vous écrivez un commentaire sur la page de discutions, ajoutez y votre nom d'utilisateur et la date en cliquant sur le bouton signature dans l'onglet modifier, ou vous pouvez simplement taper :
